John Andrew Ziemba

John Andrew Ziemba, 82 of Pennside, passed away on December 2, 2012 at St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township, PA.
He was born in Trevorton, PA on August 8, 1930 to the late Kristina (Kormancik) and Bartholomew Ziemba.
He was the husband of Helen Nancy (Schwartz) Ziemba. They celebrated 57 years of marriage on November 26th 2012. Survivors include: Sons, John, husband of Pam, Exeter; Craig, husband of Donna, Exeter; and Daughter, Cynthia, wife of Robert C. Keffer, Jr., Shillington.
He was “Dzadzie” to Grandchildren, Victoria, Elizabeth, Lara, Jade and Nathanial and granddogs Mr. Fluff and Buddy.
He is also survived by two brothers, Joseph, York, PA, and Victor, Spring City, PA and one sister, Theresa Reidinger, Warminster, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by three sisters, Veronica Ziemba, Mary Bohaczyk and Victoria Dorkoskie.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Reading, PA. He was employed by Rockwell International, formerly Textile, for 44 years, retiring in 1992.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation for all the care and compassion John received at St. Joseph Medical Center and a special thank you to Dr. Rovito and the staff of the cancer center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary’s R.C.C. 250 S. 12th Street Reading, PA 19602 on Thursday at 11:30 A.M. Friends may call at the Lutz Funeral Home 2100 Perkiomen Ave.Mount Penn on Wednesday Evening from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and also Thursday Morning at St. Mary’s from 10:30-11:30 A.M. Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
