Shirley Ullrich, 81, of Mount Penn, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 in Keystone Villa, Douglassville. She was the wife of David G. Ullrich. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Louise (Hirstius) Kline. She was a graduate of Mount Penn High School in 1954 and a graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1957 as well as West Chester University in 1972 with a BS in Education. Shirley was the school nurse for the Reading High School for many years until her retirement and was a member of Schwarzwald Lutheran Church. In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by one son, David E. Fake husband of Jeri of Wyomissing; two daughters, Cynthia L. Howe of Exeter and Lori J. wife of James Murray of Mount Penn; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eleanor Kline of Exeter and Barbara Deemer of Wernersville and one brother, Donald Kline of Muhlenberg Township. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Schwarzwald Lutheran Church 250 Church Lane Road, Reading Pa 19606. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
