Edna M. Black, 96, of Mount Penn, passed away, Friday, December 22, 2017 in her home. Born in Exeter Township, she was a daughter of the late John and Edna Levan Winterhalter. Edna was a past Deacon of Pennside Presbyterian Church and also the past President of the Women's Club and the Junior Women's Club of Birdsboro and a former Mount Penn Council Member for a number of years. She worked for Birdsboro Corporation for 43 ½ years in the Financial Department and then worked as the Owner/Operator of Abel’s Seed Shop on 9th Street in Reading until 1997. Edna May is survived by fifteen Nieces and Nephews. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 28, from 12:00pm - 1:00pm with services beginning at 1:00pm in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Mount Penn.
