Larry Hoshauer, 73, of Shillington, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022, in his residence. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Carl and Amanda (Zerbe) Hoshauer.
Larry is survived by his sister, Rebecca wife of John Fedio of Bath, PA
In his youth, Larry attended the Philadelphia School for the Deaf. As an adult, he attended Prospectus Berco Adult Day Program for many years. Larry moved into a Prospectus Berco residential home in 2018. He and his housemates became a close, tight-knit family.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday July 21 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with services beginning at 12:00 pm in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be at Allegheny Union Cemetery, Alleghenyville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Berks Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services 1290 Broadcasting Rd. Wyomissing, Pa 19610.
