Mary H.  Zettlemoyer (Nelis)
Mary H. Zettlemoyer, 101, of Exeter Township, passed away Saturday, December 17th, 2016 in Berkshire Center. She was the wife of Charles E. Zettlemoyer, who passed away October 6, 1985. Born in Greenock, Scotland, she was a daughter of the late James and Rose Ann (McClurg) Nelis. Mary was a long time member of St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C. She was previously a clerk for Pomeroy's and Schaeffer's Dry Goods in Reading. Mary loved when anyone would visit her and was always quick to offer a piece of chocolate. Her family meant the world to her. She is survived by four daughters: Mary Jane, wife of Michael P. Stankiewicz of Reiffton, Sandy L. Murray of Florida, Patricia L. Knoll of Louisiana and Elizabeth R. Reiter of Florida. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Mary was pre-deceased by her brothers, Tommy and Francis Nelis and her sister, Jane Nagle. One of Mary's enjoyments in life was riding the Barta bus to meet her friends at Boscov's Greenery for breakfast for over 20 years. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 20th, 2016 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm in the Lutz Funeral Home, 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm at St. Catharine of Siena Chapel, 2427 Perkiomen Ave, Mt. Penn. Interment in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
