Manfred A. Petri

Manfred A. (Fritz) Petri, 83, of Richmond, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, in Rosenberg Health & Rehabilitation Center, TX. He was the husband of Doris L. (Johnson) Petri, Richmond, TX. Born in Hazelton, PA, he was the son of the late Henry J., Sr. and Ida L. (Fisher) Petri.

Manfred proudly served in the U. S. Air Force. He was the owner of Petri's Garage/Service station. Previously, he was an Arco Service station franchisee. Later, he worked as an auto mechanic for Troup's Garage in Reading for 10 years. He was a member of Zion Spies Lutheran Church in Reading, PA and later settled in Richmond, TX and worked at Cougar Plastics and Atlantic envelope in Houston when he retired. He enjoyed woodworking and painting (Bob Ross) landscapes. He was a member at Peace Lutheran Church in Rosenberg, TX where he engraved welcome jars for New Members.

In addition to his wife, Manfred is survived by his daughters, Julie L., wife of Tony Summerville, Richmond, TX, Sheila G. Petri, wife of Leslie Sabold, Birdsboro, PA; and his son, Arthur L. Petri, husband of Natsumi, San Antonio, TX, nine Grandchildren and sixteen Great Grandchildren. He is predeceased by his siblings: Henry J. Petri, Jr., Thomas F. Petri, Ida L. Stoker, Rachel V. Gilbert, Hazel H. Moyer, Margaret R. Beck, Shirley E. Frizzel and a Grandchild: Michael Petri.

Services are private. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements. For online condolences, please visit www.LutzFuneralHome.com
