Elizabeth Rekasi (Abonyi)

Elizabeth (Abonyi) Rekasi, 97, of Reiffton, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021, in Ephrata Manor. She was the wife of the late Emil Rekasi Sr. who passed away in February 2005. Born in Cinkota, Hungary, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Jolanka (Molnar) Abonyi. Elizabeth was a member of St. Catherine Of Siena Chapel. She worked at Talbot Knitting Mills for 24 years until her retirement in 1980.

Elizabeth is survived by her son Emil Rekasi Jr., Denver, PA. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Elizabeth was predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Ventresca and her brother Lester Abonyi.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday June 26, 2021 beginning at 11:30 am in St. Catherine of Siena Chapel, 2425 Perkiomen Ave, Mt Penn, PA 19606. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C. Memorial Fund.
