Here are some fond and happy memories of times with Aunt Grace that I have often thought of over the years:
--Aunt Grace holding my belly while I frantically kicked and doggy-paddled as I learned to swim at the Kutztown pool on a day shared with Mammy & Pappy Angstadt and their/our extended family.
--When Dennis & I were about 5 & 7, our mom dropped us off at the State Theatre to go see an Abbott & Costello comedy. Unfortunately, the schedule changed. The movie was "Ulysses". When Kirk Douglas (Ulysses) and his band entered the Cyclop's cave, we decided it was time to leave. So, holding hands we walked out the theatre and straight down Walnut Street to Aunt Grace's house! She called our mom to come get us!
--I remember Aunt Grace and our mom watching over Dennis & me as we donned our goggles and attempted to catch crawfish in a creek that ran under a covered bridge (? near the Spangsville Church?). (That was one way to stay cool on a hot summer day!)
--I could always depend on a warm reception and willing donation when I would knock on Aunt Grace's door to sell tickets, an album, etc. to raise money for the Boyertown High School Band.
--More recently, Aunt Grace gave Carol & me a beautiful afghan that she made -- one of her last. It's now on our living room sofa!

Rest in Peace Dear Aunt Grace!

Dear loving family of Grace,
I’m very sorry for the sad loss of your beloved Mother and loving grandmother. Please accept my deepest sympathy for you and your family in your painful loss.
May you find comfort in knowing that our loving God doesn’t cause sad things to happen to our beloved family as James 1:13 assures us. Revelation 21:4 promises the time soon to come when “(God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Then happily, Job 33:25 will be fulfilled and older ones will return to the days of their youth, but with good health! These verses are among the ones that continue to bring me comfort in the losses of my beloved Mom and Dad, and my beloved youngest brother, and I hope that you will find some comfort in them too. Romans 5:14 says, “For all the things that were written beforehand were written for our instruction, so that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope.”
If you would like to find more comfort, please look at the web site JW.ORG
Sincerely Yours,
Cindy Boyer
