Emily Louise Faber

July 25, 1927 — July 19, 2020

Emily Louise "Emmylou" (Hughes) Faber, 92, of Reading, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020, in Berkshire Commons. She was the wife of the late Neal H. Faber, who passed away in 1991. Born in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Emily A. (Hilbert) and Ray Hughes. She was an active member of Schwarzwald Lutheran Church and enjoyed many years of faithful service both as a member of the senior choir and teacher of the preschool aged Sunday school program.

Emily is survived by her children: Christopher N. Faber (Grace), Pittsburgh, Dennis M. Nichols-Faber, Rochester, NY, Audrey A. Weislogel, Mt. Laurel, NJ; grandchildren: Douglas Faber, Heather Dease, Jonas Weislogel, Theresa Faber, Jason Faber (Morgan), Brian Faber, Chelsea Faber; and seven great grandchildren: Alexia, Nathan, Christopher, Samantha, Elizabeth, Emry, and Hayden.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Mt. Penn. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Schwarzwald Lutheran Church, 250 Church Lane, Reading, PA 19606.
