George P. Turner

George P. Turner, 86, of Douglassville, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020, in Country Meadows, Wyomissing. He was the loving husband of Barbara A. (Guldin) Turner who passed away July 1, 2019. Born in Shillington, he was the son of the late Robert S. and Anna J. (Petrolionis) Turner. George was a graduate of Shillington High School, a member of St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C.--Exeter Township and the United States Army. He was also a former member and past president of Daniel Boone Optimist. He loved golfing, the Philadelphia Eagles and was beyond generous and kind hearted. George was a manager in shipping and receiving for Colorcon for many years until his retirement.

He is survived by one daughter Lori Bruno, son Gary Turner, grandson Justin Bruno and brother Dan Turner husband of Jane. He was predeceased by his brother Robert and his wife Jeanne.

Services are private. Interment will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
