Betty J. (Thompson) Weisser, 95, formerly of Exeter Township, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021, in ManorCare Health Services, Laureldale. She was the wife of Richard W. Weisser Sr., who passed away in 1991. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Stamm) Thompson. Betty graduated from Reading High School in 1943. She was a member of the Reading Moravian Church, and a former member of the ladies Auxiliary of the Pagoda Motorcycle Club. Betty was also a regular participant for Berks Encore at the Birdsboro Community Center and spent her career as an insurance coder for American Casualty and Insurance in Reading.

Betty is survived by her two sons Richard W. Weisser, Jr. (Eileen) of Exeter Township, Bradley Weisser (Laura) of Oley; and one daughter Kathleen (Joseph) Lucas of Alsace Township. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. Betty was pre deceased by sister Jackie Moyer, brother John D. III and grandson Joseph Jr.
A private graveside service will be celebrated at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
