Janice Eileen Hill Miller, 75, of Exeter, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 4, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted and loving wife of James Miller, with whom she celebrated 56 years of marriage. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late James and A. Virginia (Garverich) Hill, and graduated from Mt. Penn High School in 1963. In addition to her husband James, Janice is survived by her son Michael husband of Emily, Exeter, and daughter Heather wife of Neil Massey, Richmond, Va. She has five grandchildren; Michael, Sean, Christopher, Lauren, and Luke.

Janice loved to volunteer her time at church; especially on the hospitality committee. She also was a long time member of The Exeter Women's Club, serving as president for 4 years, and on the house tour committee. She loved to cook and bake, always making enough to feed a crowd. Her famous almond cake became the "go to" for all celebrations. Janice loved to be out in the sun weeding flower beds, picking raspberries to make the best jelly, and husking and scraping corn to freeze for all those special holidays.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday April 9, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading Pa 19606, services will be private. Our deepest sympathy to Jim and family. We have fond memories of our time in Reading with the Miller's and at Covenant Church. Janice was a wonderful hostess and cook and a good friend to Judy and me. We cherish her memory.

Janice Miller is a lady who will be missed by so many. She gave of herself to so many. My fondest memories of her include many long telephone conversations filled with warmth and kindness. For many years her husband Jim, shopped for her at Jan Rae Ladies Fine Fashion boutique, my business of 44 Years. I would assist him select fashion gifts for her, but, never met her till my attendance at Covenant Church. We immediately became friends and I felt like I knew her for many years. I cherish all the time we spent together and send my heartfelt sympathy to her husband and family. She is now with The Lord and for evermore in His loving care.
