Ruth Evelyn (Coller) Carver, age 95, of St Lawrence, passed away on Monday May 30, 2022 at Complete Care at Berkshire Center in Exeter following a brief illness. A special thanks to the team at Berkshire Center for taking good care of her. She was the wife of the late Jay D. Carver, who died February 9, 1986. Jay was a veteran of WWII.
Ruth graduated from Reading High School in 1944. Over the years Ruth wore many hats. She and her husband operated a music school in Allentown for several years. After returning to Reading she worked at Kinns Department store as a sales clerk and assistant manager. She then worked at Western Electric from where she retired. She loved the outdoors and spent many hours in her garden and pool.
She is survived by her daughter Leslie Carver, wife of David Potteiger, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Claude Coller, George Coller, and Patrick Coller.
Per Ruth’s request, services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
