Mark L. Painter

Mark L. Painter, 72, of Limerick Township, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, in Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late H. Paul and Betty (Martin) Painter. He was a 1968 graduate of Daniel Boone High School, and went on to study at Tri-State College in Angola, IN, graduating in 1972. Mark worked in insurance risk management as a litigation examiner at Penske Truck Leasing for many years until his retirement. He attended St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Birdsboro, and Reformation Lutheran Church in Reiffton. Mark loved Penn State football and Exeter sports. He always enjoyed cooking, baking, and going out to restaurants. Mark was also an active member of the Christian Business Men's Connection.

Mark is survived by his son Kyle E. Painter, husband of Jenna, his daughter Molly E. Schappel, wife of Christian; his grandchildren Carter, Carson, Juliet, Emmett, and Emery; and his sister Cynthia J. Painter. He was preceded in death by his son, Chad A. Painter.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606. Services will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
