Joan Albright

Joan K. Albright, 82, of Reading, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016, at Saucon Valley Manor in Hellertown. She was the widow of Preston W. Albright, who passed away May 20, 1992. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Stewart and Madolyn E. (Hoyer) Miller. A 1951 graduate of Reading High School, Joan was a former member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church, where she was very active as a volunteer and Sunday School teacher. She was also a volunteer for Pennsylvania's Junior Miss, Inc., for many years. Her life-long passion was fostering children and mentoring young adults, and she was like a second mother to many over the years. She is survived by: two sons, Mark P. Albright, husband of Colleen, of Hellertown, and Cory M. Albright, husband of Darby, of Schwenksville; three grandchildren, and a sister, Sandra M. Graffius, of Reading. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 10:00 am -11:00 am, with services beginning at 11:00 am in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606.
