Calvin R. Allgaier

Calvin R. Allgaier, 80, of Muhlenberg, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021, in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of the late Peggy J (Lamma) Allgaier, who passed away December 11, 2020. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Albert L. and Elmira (Zerbe) Allgaier. Calvin graduated from Reading High School in 1960 and was a member of St Andrew's U.C.C. Calvin was a driver in sales for various companies, lastly working for CVC Vending Co. He also worked part time for Bayliss Olds as a driver and part time for B.C.I.U. as a bus driver.

Calvin is survived by his two sons; Matthew R., and Mark A., one sister; Florence, wife of Earl Dunkelberger. He was pre deceased by one sister Georgene and her husband John Paul.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Mt. Penn, PA 19606. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hope Lodge, 125 Lucy Ave, Hummelstown, Pa 17036. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
