Alvin J. Heck

Alvin J. Heck, 79, of Exeter Township, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 at the Reading Hospital with his loving wife by his side. He was the husband of Sharon A. (Puwalski) Heck, with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage. Born in Wernersville, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph L. and Pauline I. (Bricker) Heck. Alvin graduated from Wilson High School, class of 1963. He was an independent distributor for Pepperidge Farm for 43 years until his retirement. Alvin was a member of St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C., where he attended Mass daily.

In addition to his wife, Alvin is survived by his sisters; Diane Heck, and Loretta Henry, wife of Bob. He is also survived by his sister-in-law's; LuAnn Fisher and Donna Puwalski. Alvin was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Heck, his siblings; Donald Heck, Dennis Heck, and Shirley Heck Derr, as well as his brother-in-law Richard Pawalski.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C., 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA 19606. Entombment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel of St. George, 3139 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605.
