Anita A. (Kendig) Gumpert, 99, of Reading, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at The Villa Assisted Living Facility. She was the wife of the late Egbert Gumpert. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Elaine (Andrew) Kendig.
Anita was a graduate of Mt. Penn High School. She worked at CK Whitner as a buyer for many years until her retirement.
Anita is survived by her children, Christine Meister, wife of William, of Birdsboro, and John R. Heim, husband of Barbara, of Reiffton. She is also survived by three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
