Anthony P. Pugliese

Anthony P. Pugliese, 81, of Exeter, formerly of Wyomissing, PA, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Joyce E. (Daily) Pugliese, who passed away in 2022. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Henry and Philomena (Strate) Pugliese. Tony graduated from Bishop Newman High School in Philadelphia. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Temple University Fox School of Business. Tony proudly served his country in The United States Army where he held the ranking of Sergeant. He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola R.C.C. Tony was the past president of the Home Builders Association for many years, he also belonged to Club Tokay of Philadelphia. In Tony's younger years he played basketball, softball, and baseball, but he became an avid golfer later in life. He was a true Philadelphia sports fan, especially for the Eagles and Phillies.

Tony is survived by his children; Marc A. Pugliese, husband of Laura, and Alicia M. Ettele, significant other of Todd Schlegel. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Dominic, Hannah, Emma, and Gabriel, as well as his son-in-law Jimmy Ettele.

The family would like to thank Tony's caregiver Cassidy Fabris for the wonderful care she gave their father.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 am at St. Ignatius Loyola R.C.C., 2600 St Albans Drive, Reading, PA 19609. Interment will follow at Schwarzwald Cemetery, 75 Church Lane Road, Reading, PA 19606.
