Jeffrey A. Banks

December 2, 1958 — June 29, 2018

Jeffrey A. Banks, 59, of Sinking Spring, passed away, Friday, June 29, 2018 in his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was the husband of the late Richarda L. "Ricci" Banks who passed July 31, 2017. Born in Bryn Mawr, he was a son of the late Lloyd Banks and Janice (Wenrich) Gilbert. He was a graduate of Wilson High School Class of 1976, then went on to graduate from Kutztown University with a degree in Criminal Justice.
After a few years of working in the corporate world he took a risk and followed his passion for construction and real estate. Jeff spent his life working hard to build his businesses and provide for his family. Jeff was a loyal and honest friend.
He was a family man in the truest sense of the word. He was devoted to his wife Ricci of 30 years and his two children, but his greatest joy was being “Opa” to his 4 grandsons.

Up until the onset of symptoms that were finally diagnosed as Multiple System Atrophy (MSA-P) in December 2017, Jeff had always lived a very active lifestyle. He enjoyed biking, kayaking, skiing and doing things with his family.
No matter what the physical toll this disease had taken on him, over the last four years he continued to push through every day with the full strength and determination he’s always been known for.

Regardless of his rapid decline over the last year, his focus always remained on his family and those he cared about. Making sure to the best of his ability that everyone would be alright.

Jeff is survived by a daughter, Kirsten J. DiMariano, wife of Dino (Sinking Spring), a son Kyle E. husband of Dana (Wyomissing ) and grandsons Chase, Greyson, Sawyer, and Charlie. Also surviving is a sister, Kal Banks (Sinking Spring) and brothers, Chris Banks (West Lawn) and William Banks.
