Mary Ann Barr (Blanski)

Mary Ann (Blanski) Barr, 81, of Pennside, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 11, 2022, in Reading Hospital with family by her side. She was the wife of the late John E. Barr. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Stella (Karaszynski) Blanski. Mary Ann went to St. Mary's Grade School and then graduated from Reading Central Catholic High School in 1958. She was a member of St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C., Exeter Township. She was a legal secretary for Raymond Schlegel, Esq. from 1958-1975 and then retired to raise her children. Mary Ann later became the librarian at St. Catharine of Siena School from 1986-2005.

She is survived by her daughter Jennifer L. Campbell, wife of James, and her 3 beloved grandchildren Tyler, Landon and Ashleigh. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many special friends and neighbors. Mary Ann was pre deceased by her son David J. Barr and brothers Milton and Bernard Blanski.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 am in St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C., Exeter Township 4975 Boyertown Pike Reading, Pennsylvania 19606. Interment will be at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary Ann's name to St. Catharine of Siena School Library, 2330 Perkiomen Ave, Reading Pa, 19606.
