Barry Beilhart

December 26, 1971 — January 25, 2025

Barry Joseph Beilhart, 53, of Germany, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Regensburg University Hospital, Germany. He was the husband of Gladys (Ellorin) Beilhart, with whom he celebrated 3 years of marriage. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of Michael and Irene (Kidon) Beilhart, of Mohnton. Barry attended Saint Catharine of Siena School, and graduated from Twin Valley High School. After graduating from high school, Barry enlisted in the United States Army. He proudly served his country as a military police officer until his retirement. He was always really proud of his pathfinder training and his time with the 101st airborne division.


While he was serving, Barry was honored with many medals, badges, and awards. Some of these honors include a Meritorious Service Medal, an Army Achievement Medal, an Army Superior Unit Award, a National Defense Service Medal with a Bronze Service Star, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, a Humanitarian Service Medal, an Iraq Campaign Medal with a Campaign Star, a Gold Recruiter Badge with three Star Sapphires, a Pathfinder Badge, an Air Assault Badge, a Driver and Mechanic Badge, and many others. After he retired from the Army, Barry worked for the Department of Defense as U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria Protection Chief. In his free time, Barry loved traveling with his wife, Gladys.


In addition to his wife and parents, Barry is survived by his children, Leah Judson, wife of Dave, and Connor Beilhart, and his stepsons Phillip and Joey. He is also survived by his sister Kelly Megahey, wife of Josh, his niece Michaela Megahey, and his beloved dog Valor. He was preceded in death by his sister Stacy L. Beilhart.


Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to a military organization of your choice in Barry's honor.
