Herbert Harvey Hoff Bartron, 91, of Exeter, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2019. He was the husband of Hildamay (Heffner) Bartron for 63 years. Born in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of the late Herbert V. Bartron and Olive M. Smith. He was a member of Lincoln Park United Methodist Church of Shillington and a member of Hackettstown Order of Elks. He was also a long time member of Hillcrest Racquet Club.
Herb attended Rutgers University on a full scholarship where he studied Engineering. His studies were interrupted by a brief military service as an Army Paratrooper, successfully completing 13 jumps in his career. Returning to Rutgers, Herb graduated in 1951 and embarked on a successful career as a Registered Professional Engineer working on projects in the U.S. and the Middle East.
He is survived by his loving wife, Hildamay (Heffner) Bartron, his daughters Ann (Bob) Drechsel, Karen (Rich) Wellen, Dawn (Jim) Shimberg, Gayle (Joseph, deceased) Kenney and one son, Herbert William Bartron. He is also survived by his six grandchildren: Drew Drechsel, Daniel Wellen, Rose Shimberg, Spencer Wellen, Ashley Bartron and Bradley Bartron.
Visitation with family and friends will be on Friday, November 22 with viewing at 10am followed by service at 11am at Lutz Funeral Home, 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Mt. Penn.
