Ruth M. (Behm) Matthews Bennett, 84, of Exeter Township, passed away in her residence on November 24, 2014. She was the wife of Kenneth E. Bennett. She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Joseph Matthews. Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Hilda (Rapp) Behm. Ruth was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School and was a member of Zion (Spies) Lutheran Church-Alsace Township, where she was very involved with all of the church groups and activities. She was employed at the Coventry Mall Bingo, was a former waitress/hostess for Charcoal Chef in Reiffton, was a sales associate for Hickory Farms for 15 years and lastly worked in the dentist office of Dr. Alston in Pottstown. In addition to her husband Ruth is survived by: One Daughter: Madeline wife of Del Weilacher of Birdsboro; Two Grandchildren: Erin wife of Michael Lichty and Kristin wife of Steve Frantz; Two Great-Grandchildren: Camryn and Elijah; Step-Children: Kenneth R. Bennett husband of Lois of Pottstown, Patricia wife of Dan Deguzman of Harrisburg, Dustin Bennett husband of Robin of St. Lawrence and Donald Messner husband of Linda of New Columbia, PA; Step-Grandchildren: Kelly and Brian Deguzman, Weston, Dahl, Aaron and Austin Bennett, Tonia wife of William Herz and Brad Weilacher husband of Tammy. She is also survived by: Two Brothers: John P. and Philip Behm and Two Sisters: Martha Goodwin and Sheila Riccardi and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a sister: Grace Strunk. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 A.M. with services following at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, November 28, 2014 in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. Mount Penn. Entombment in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
