Boris Corbin

Dr. Boris Corbin, 92, of Exeter Township, passed away Sunday March 24, 2024, at Berks Heim. Born in East New York, he was the son of the late Albert and Frances (Ellner) Corbin. Boris was pre-deceased by Joyce, his beloved wife of 64 years.

Boris graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School then went on to receive a Bachelors of Science degree from New York University before entering Pennsylvania State College of Optometry where he graduated with honors. Boris practiced Optometry for over 50 years. He served our country proudly as a member of the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean war from 1952-1954.

Boris enjoyed helping others as he was a volunteer preparing and delivering meals for "Meals on Wheels". He enjoyed cooking and sharing his creations with family and friends. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed animals, typically storing dog treats in his walker pouch for his furry friends. He had a passion for cars and kept his vehicles so immaculate that he would get thank you notes from those who bought his used cars when he upgraded to a new vehicle. He played trumpet and enjoyed dancing. He was a member of Kesher Zion Synagogue.

Boris is survived by his sons Dr. Richard Simons and Dr. Glenn (Gaye) Corbin and his daughter Ellyn Levin, his 7 grandchildren Jessica (Wes), Melody (Johnny), Tiffany (Peppi), Seth (Valerie), Alyse (Rich), Jared and Aaron (Alex) and 10 great-grandchildren Gavin, Graham, Logan, Isaiah, Natalie, Claire, Max, Mykah, Pearl and Joyce.

Condolence visitation will be observed at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Glenn Corbin, 13 Ironstone Drive, Reading, PA 19606 on Thursday March 28, 2024 from 6:30-8:30pm.
