Larry D. Bowman

Larry D. Bowman, 71, of Mount Penn, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 in the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Conrad) Bowman. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late John F. and Myrle R. (Wieder) Bowman. He was a graduate of Reading High School in 1960 and Berks Poly-Technical College, now Penn State University with an Associate Degree in Engineering. Larry was a member of Trinity U.C.C. Mount Penn and also served in the Army Reserves in the 365th from 1964-1971. He was an avid Penn State fan. Larry worked in the drafting division of Textile Machine Works and then for Carpenter Technology for 35 years, lastly as an assistant drafting supervisor. After retirement, he took Auto-CAD classes at Penn State and then worked for RPA Associates for several years. In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by: One Daughter: Kathy L. Bowman of Bern Township; Two Brothers: Robert A. Bowman husband of Judith of McCormick, SC and Ronald L. Bowman husband of Jacqueline L of Spring Township and One Sister: Carol A. Bowman of Reading. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 A.M. with services following at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, November 29, 2014 in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. Mount Penn. Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park Reiffton.
