William R. "Bill" Brandon, 77, of Exeter, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Mitzi (Pearson) Brandon, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, he was the son of the late Robert and Betty (Torrington) Brandon. Bill graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in Kansas and got his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University. Bill proudly served his country as a Lieutenant in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He had a career spanning accounting, sales, entrepreneurship, and financial services. He also worked part-time at Fox Chase Golf Club and spent many mornings and afternoons playing rounds there, in all weather conditions. In addition to golf, he was a fan of the Phillies and Eagles, and loved playing Settlers of Catan. Bill was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who was always first to give up his seat and pick up the check. His ever present smile will be missed.
In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his son, Jonathan R., and his wife Erin, from Virginia. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Sara, Ryan, Matthew, and Jacob, as well as his siblings; James Brandon of CA, Barbara Brandon of TX, and Michael Brandon, and his wife Sharon, of GA.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Lutz Funeral Home, 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading PA 19606. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 am in Forest Hills Memorial Park 391 W. Neversink Road Reading, PA 19606. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
