John (Johnny) C. Campfield, 80 of Auburn Pa. passed away April 25, 2015. He was the husband of Nancy
L. (Strunk) Campfield for 46 years. Formerly of Mount Penn, he was the son of Paul and Kathryn
Campfield. John was a graduate of Mount Penn High School and served in the U.S. Navy reserve. He also
served as President of Penn Alsace Athletic Association and was employed by Nabisco and Reading
Coca-Cola as the Vice-President and General Manager. Upon retiring, he purchased Kings Village Grocer
in West Reading and News and Chews in Wyomissing. John enjoyed hunting, fishing and all sports,
especially college basketball and the Phillies. Other past times included collecting sea shells, spending
time at the beach, feeding Daisy, his pet Egret and playing Texas hold ‘em in Florida. In addition to his
wife he is survived by his children, Eric, Michael and John Steven Campfield, April Faust, and Kathleen
Clay. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his
siblings, MaryAnn Smith and Paul Campfield and grandson Casey Clay. His passion for gardening and
flowers shall live on forever in his children. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service and luncheon in
Trinity U.C.C, Fellowship Hall 2449 Cumberland Ave. Mount Penn, PA 19606 on Saturday, May 9, 2015
at 11:00 AM. Burial is Private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity U.C.C. at the
