Carol A.(Klein) King

I, Carol A. (Klein) King, of Morgantown, PA, was born in Reading, PA on June 14, 1939. I was the daughter of the late Carl and Jeanette (Melcher) Klein. I passed into eternity and went home to be with Jesus on January 22, 2025 from the Care Center of the Heritage of Green Hills where I had been on hospice for just a few days. I was 85 years old. I graduated from Reading High School in 1957, and got a job at Carpenter Technology. My last job was with Eastern Technologies, Inc. where I worked for 23 years as an office manager and accounting assistant. I retired in December of 2010. Most of my spare time was spent with my children and grandchildren, knitting, reading, or researching genealogy.

I am survived by my four children: Lisa (King) Smith (m. Michael A. Smith), Jeffrey A. King (m. Lori Fasnacht King), Valerie (King) Brice, (m. Michael Brice); and Jonathan (Jody) A. King, (m. Lynne Arzie King). I am also survived by 14 grandchildren; Brittany M. Brice, Katie N. Smith (m. Daniel Crabtree), Jessica R. King (m. Jared Schmidt), Alexandria N. King, Jordan N. Lewis, Rebecca L. King, Jonathan M. Smith (m. Jenny Gehman), Jonathan A. King Jr (m. Madison Youngblood), Justin T. Lewis, Olivia G. King, Zachary G. King (m. Megan Kleinsmith), David A. Smith, Abigail E. King, and Emily G. Smith, as well as 5 great- grandchildren; Lena Brice, Aria Schmidt, Harriet King, Theodore Smith, Kyleigh King, 1 sister, Jo Ann (Klein) Bussinger (m. John Bussinger), and 1 brother, Daniel Klein (m. Jerol (Shutt) Klein). I was preceded in death by my husband John H. King and my younger sister Janet (Kelin) Obitz (m. William Obitz).

A homecoming memorial service followed by a luncheon will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 510 Park Avenue, Reading, PA on February 3rd, 2025.
