Carol A. Rimby

Carol A. (Breitegam) Rimby, 68, of Birdsboro, PA passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024. She was comforted by her husband, family, relatives, and friends in the days leading up to her passing. She died knowing she was surrounded by love and she returned that love ten fold. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late William K. and Sara E. (Enoch) Breitegam. Carol graduated from Mt. Penn High School and St. Joseph's School of Nursing. She worked for St. Joseph's Hospital and Reading Hospital as a registered nurse, lastly working at the Women's Clinic before retiring.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and great aunt. She lived for her family and took great pleasure in all their triumphs and successes and was always available to listen with a shoulder to cry on when life threw them a knuckleball. She will be missed by everyone whose life she touched be they family, relatives, life-long friends or casual acquaintances.

She is survived by her husband Robert, three sons Andrew, husband of Becky, Joel, husband of Alana, Aaron, husband of Jamie and ten grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Sue Lovell and Peggy Guinther, wife of John Guinther and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm with services beginning at 3:30 pm in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606.
