Carolyn Casner

June 23, 1965 — August 31, 2024

Carolyn Casner, 59, of Douglassville, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 30, 2024. She died in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family and her loving husband, Thomas Casner with whom she shared 22 years of marriage. Born in Abingdon, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late James F. Rhodes and Nancy B. Moore.

Carolyn was a graduate of Mechanicsville High School, Class of 1983, in Mechanicsville Virginia. She enjoyed a long and successful career spanning 30 years for Teleflex, a medical device company. Carolyn worked her way up through the organization and her last position was Senior Commercial Operations Manager.

In addition to her husband, Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Jami Fili (Tom), of Douglassville and her son Jason Casner (Maddie) of Reading. She is survived by her 5 grandchildren Ellie, Noah, Abel, Reeves and Ellis. Carolyn is also survived by her siblings Becky Fagan (Barry), David Rhodes (Kathy), and Beth Stewart (Rick), along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was considered to be the cornerstone of the family. She was the rock and was always the host in gatherings with family and friends. She was funny yet humble, quick-witted yet kind, and had a “gentle persuasion” about her that if you knew, you knew. When you were a part of her world, you were embraced whole-heartedly. Anyone who met Carolyn knew she was special. She will be missed and will never be forgotten.
