Blanche Carpenter

Blanche Marie Carpenter, 93, of Lower Alsace Township, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the widow of George B. Carpenter who passed away November 25, 1987. Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late Frank Schunk and Clara Mae Pauley. Blance worked in production for Luden's Candies for many years. She loved her cat, Penny. Blanche is survived by a son, William B. Carpenter husband of Barbara of Fleetwood and two daughters, Darlene E. Snyder and Elizabeth M. Carpenter, both of Pennside; two grandsons, Charles A. Snyder, III and Paul K. Carpenter. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Reading, PA 19606. Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
