Charles L. Miller Jr., "Charlie"

Charles L. Miller Jr., "Charlie", 91, of Exeter Township, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Janet E. (Kline) Miller, with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage. Born in Amity, PA, he was the son of the late Charles L. Miller Sr., and Grace K. (Kutz) Miller. Charlie graduated from Oley High School, class of 1950. He proudly served his country in The United States Army. Charlie worked at Firestone, Nelco Lumber, and Wickes Lumber until his retirement. He was a member of St Paul's U.C.C. in Amityville where he was very involved. Charlie was also a member of POS of A, and American Legion Oley Post 278. He was a volunteer firefighter for Stonersville Fire Company and served with Exeter Ambulance, and also sang in several community choirs.

In addition to his wife Janet, Charlie is survived by his children; Denise Tursack, of Boyertown, Kimberly Jenkins, wife of Tony, of Reinholds, and Karen Bates, wife of Marshall, of Exeter. He is also survived by three grandchildren; Gordon, Dalton, and Shannon, as well as two great-grandchildren. Charlie was predeceased by his grandson Derrick, sister Gloria Cramer, and brothers Gene Miller and Franklin Miller.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am at St. Pauls U.C.C., 1979 Weavertown Rd., Douglassville, PA 19518. Interment will follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul's U.C.C. Memorial Fund.
