Bonita L. "Bonnie" Close (Arndt)

Bonita L. "Bonnie" (Arndt) Close, 72, of Temple, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023, in her home. She was the wife of Richard Close, with whom she celebrated 44 years of marriage. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Rae Arndt. Bonnie graduated from Kutztown High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree. Bonnie worked for Eye Physicians as a contact lens specialist, which then became Carim Eye Care. She worked there until her retirement in 2020.

In addition to her husband, Bonnie is survived by her sister-in-law Lynne, and her brother-in-law Robert, husband of Gina. She is also survived by three nephews and one niece. Bonnie was predeceased by her nephew Mel Kreisher.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be at Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society PO Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
