Kenneth G. Cregar, II, 80, of Exeter Township, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 in his home. Ken is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Barbara A. (Swavely) Cregar whom he married September 8, 1962. He was the son of the late Kenneth and Alma (Simpson) Cregar. Kenneth was raised in Washington, NJ until age sixteen. He graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1955 and earned his Bachelor's Degree at Albright College in Economics in 1960. He started at Berks County Trust at Fifth and Penn Sts in Reading and then entered into Basic Training at Fort Knox for the Army Reserves. After basic training, Kenneth returned to Berks County Trust as a teller at the Muhlenberg branch. He was honorably discharged from the Army Reserves in September 1966 after six years of service. In January of 1969, he was promoted to Manager of the Riverside Branch. He ended his career as Manager and Assistant Vice President of Meridian Bank at the Temple Branch and retired after 35 years in banking. Kenneth was a member of Schwarzwald U.C.C. and a member of Daniel Boone Rod and Gun Club. He was a volunteer ambulance driver for Muhlenberg Township and after moving to Exeter Township in 1966, he was influential in starting Exeter Township's Ambulance Services. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his crossword puzzles daily. In addition to his wife Barbara, Kenneth is survived by his two sons Bradley K. companion of Michelle Thomas of Rockland Township and Brian K. husband of Kimberly of St. Lawrence; and three grandchildren. Heather N., Allison B., and Ashley B. Cregar. He is predeceased by his daughter Brandi K. Cregar in 1986 and his sister Barbara Dallessandro. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday July 27, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading.
