Nicholas A. D'Alonzo, III, 77, of Exeter, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018, in Reading Hospital and Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Mary Ann (Schaefer) D'Alonzo. Born in Bryn Mawr, PA, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Matilda (Vitullo) D'Alonzo. Nick attended Germantown Academy, received a BS in Economics from Villanova University, and served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army. He was a member of St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C.--Exeter Township. Nick worked for General Motors for over 30 years until his retirement. He is survived by one daughter Amy C. Basehoar wife of Andrew R. of Morgantown, one granddaughter Catherine, one sister Patricia Johnson, one niece Pamela Ragnoli and one nephew Noel Johnson. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a mass of christian burial beginning at 11:00 am in St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C.--Exeter Township 4975 Boyertown Pike Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Catharine of Sienna RCC 4975 Boyertown Pike Reading Pa 19606. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
