Robert E. Diefenderfer, 93, of Exeter Township, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family members. He was the husband of Faye (Kauffman) Diefenderfer, Exeter Township, with whom he celebrated 69 years of marriage. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Frank and Ruth (Squibb) Diefenderfer. Bob graduated from Mt Penn High School class of 1945, and then attended Reading Business Institute. He owned and operated Esterly Cont., DB Diefenderfer, Laurel Lanes and Exeter Supply. He was an avid trapshooter, bowler, and member of the South End Gun Club.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by sons David D. of New Jersey, Jeffrey husband of Mary Lou, St. Lawrence, and Robert husband of Lori, Muhlenberg. He has five grandsons Jason, Craig, John, Mark, Jordan, and five great-grandchildren. Bob was predeceased by his sister Jane (Diefenderfer) Bossler.
