Doris M. Reilly

Doris M. Reilly, 95, of Bern Township, passed away on August 31, 2024 at Berks Heim Nursing Home. She was the widow of the late John W. Reilly. Born in Stonycreek, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Ethel (Rapp) Mohn. Doris graduated from Reading High School and went on to further her education and earn her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Philadelphia Museum School of Art. After college, she worked many different jobs, including as a graphic artist at Beaumont, Heller & Sperling, and free lance as a production artist for Talbott Knitting Mills and others. She also worked at Maier's Bakery for 12 years. Doris was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and contributed her time and artistic talent to serve the congregation of the church.

Doris is survived by her son Timothy D. Reilly, husband of Susan, of Muhlenberg, and her daughter Anne L. , wife of Jay B. Witman of Greenfields. She is also survived by her grandchildren Steven, Daniel, Caitlin, and Michael, as well as her great-grandchildren Amy, Meadow, Aurelia, Asher, and Olivia. She was preceded in death by her daughter Susan E. Reilly, and year old son, Sean M. Reilly.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, with services beginning at 11:00 am at Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will follow at Spies Zion Cemetery, 318 Spies Church Road, Reading, PA 19606.
