Dorothy Haring

Dottie Haring, 60, of Kutztown, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 23, 2023 in her home. She was the wife of Randy Haring. Born in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of Audrey (Reading) McAbee and the late John McAbee.

Dottie was a graduate of Ft. Lauderdale University Class of 1983, earning her bachelors degree at 19 years old. She was currently employed at Budd VanLines as a QC supervisor, and was previously a teacher at Reading High School. Dottie volunteered with the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA), helping to improve educational and career opportunities for students. She also hosted many exchange students through the Private Student Exchange. Dottie was fond of the blue water and white sands at her favorite beaches and spent as much time there as she could. Her life's passion were her Basset Hounds. She loved and adored her Bassets and was an active and responsible breeder of them. Above all, Dottie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

In addition to her husband, Dottie is survived by her mother Audrey McAbee, of Nazareth and her children; Bethany Lewis, wife of Matthew, Kris Haring, husband of Anna, Noelle Reed, wife of Joshua, and Jenna Herring, wife of Guy III. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren; Emelia Lewis, Sullivan Reed, Alice Lewis, Caden Reed, Myla Herring, Owen Reed, Garrett Haring, Max Herring, and Kaitlyn Haring. Dottie is also survived by her sisters Mary Lee Miller, wife of Matthew, and Megan Brovero, her many nieces and nephews, her brother-in-law Steve Haring and Tammy Bond, her sister-in-law Mitzi Melnyk, wife of Jeff, and her two Bassets, Whitnie and Rickie.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with services beginning at 11:00 am at The Real Church, 33 Lyons Road, Fleetwood PA 19522.
