Joseph D. Drogo, 94 of Birdsboro, passed away Friday August 18, 2017 in the Berkshire Center. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Grabowski) Drogo who passed away on February 4, 2003 . Born in Evansville, Pa he was a son of the late Jesse and Concetta (Peri) Drogo. Joseph was a WWII Army veteran during the Invasion of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge earning four bronze stars. He was a member of St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C. Joseph managed the bowling and softball teams at Arrow International winning several championships. He also played softball in 1962 in the Textile Machine Works Industrial League. He was employed at the former Reading Clothing Manufacturing., Fein/Glass Shoe Factory and lastly at Arrow International as an inspector and needle finisher. He is survived by two sons Lawrence J. of Exeter Township and Dennis A. of Robeson Township, and one daughter JoAnn McDonald of Green River, Wyoming. Also surviving is one brother, Vince Drogo of Laureldale and 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was prececeased by two brothers Thomas and Charles Drogo and two step sisters Adeline Verdone and Mary Granieri. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Lutz Funeral Home, 2100 Perkiomen Avenue. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday August 23, 2017 in the St. Catharine of Siena RCC-Exeter, 4975 Boyertown Pike. Reading, PA 19606.
