Ronald Cope Dunkelberger, 80, of Exeter Township, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in Berkshire Center. He was the husband of Donna D. (DeTurk) Dunkelberger. Born in Frackville, he was a son of the late Charles L. and Margaret R.(Cope) Dunkelberger. Ron was a graduate of Reading High School in 1954. He was a member of St. Peters UCC, Sinking Spring and served in the United States Air Force Reserves. Ron was a teacher at Daniel Boone High School, Wyomissing High School and Reading High School until his retirement in 1993. Ron took pride in running and maintaining College Manor Pool and the AVRCC for 50 years. He enjoyed gardening and sailing as well as watching the Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. The family would like to express special thanks to the Berkshire Center, 2nd Floor for their kindness and caring. In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by one son David C. husband of Moria of Exeter Township, two grandchildren Rachel and Sara; two sisters Ann wife of John Mazzo of Wyomissing and Kay Loney of Frazer, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a son Peter F. Dunkelberger. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mount Penn.
