Jennifer Eckert

Jennifer C. Eckert, 49, formerly of Reading, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017 in Buckeye, AZ. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Joyce C. Zabodyn (deceased) and Frederick C. Zabodyn, and step-daughter to Janet Zabodyn. Jennifer attended Smith College in Massachusetts where she graduated cum laude with a BA of Medieval Studies, and then to Fordham University, where she earned her MA in Medieval Studies. She taught Latin and was the Dean of Students for a preparatory academy in Arizona. In addition to her father, Jennifer is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Duesterhoeft of Reston, VA; one brother, Christopher H. Zabodyn; one step-brother, Frederick C. Zabodyn, Jr.; and one step-sister, Brenda C. Homan. Services and Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
