Eleanor G. Andrews

Eleanor G. Andrews, 94, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024, in the Reading Hospital Medical Center. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Adam Garman and Amanda (Faust) Aulenbach. Eleanor graduated from Reading High School in 1948. She worked for Western Electric, now Agere Systems, as a layout operator for 34 years until her retirement. Eleanor loved baseball, especially the Philadelphia Phillies. She was an avid gardener, and always enjoyed spending time at her pool and the beach. Eleanor was her grandson Phil's biggest fan. She was at all his hockey games, always cheering him on from the crowd.

Eleanor is survived by her son Barry Satz, husband of Michele, her grandson Philip Satz, her favorite niece, Linda Fitzgerald, wife of Leon, and Barry's dogs, whom she loved spending time with. She was preceded in death by her siblings Dolores Wails and Vince Aulenbach.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, with services beginning at 12:00 pm in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, 390 W Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606.
