Harold J. Endy

Harold J. Endy, 92, formerly of Exeter Township, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown. He was the widower of Ruth V. (Reese) Endy who passed away December 22, 2013. Born near Boyertown, he was a son of the late Lloyd S. and Helena (Yingling) Endy. Harold was a graduate of Earl Township and Boyertown High School and was a member of Schwarzwald U.C.C. Jacksonwald where he was a past consistory member and financial secretary. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. Harold was a postmaster in Limekiln for 37 years and was the retired owner/operator of the Oley Line Food Market also in Limekiln. He was also a member of the National League of Postmasters and NAPUS (National Association of Postmaster of the U.S.). Harold is survived by his daughter Gail L. wife of Lynn Row of Exeter Twp., Daughter-In-Law Aileen D. Endy of Pennside; Grandchildren: Brett Endy husband of Jessica of Cheltenham, Chad Endy husband of Alicia of Exeter Twp., and Alexander Row of Exeter Twp; Great-Grandchildren: Carson, Logan, Ardyn and Ava. He was pre-deceased by his son Neal H. Endy and his sister Shirley Whitaker. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 24, 2014 in the Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Ave. Mount Penn with funeral services at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 25, 2014 in Schwarzwald U.C.C. 75 Church Lane Road Reading, PA 19606.
