Charles J. Esterline

Charles J. Esterline, 68, of Bernville, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 in his home. He is the husband of Linda J. Esterline . Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Isaac and Joyce (Bosold) Esterline. Charles graduated from Reading High School in 1967 and technical school for carpentry. He worked for Dolan Construction as a carpenter for 11 years until his recent retirement. Charles was a volunteer fire fighter for the City of Reading & Bernville Fire Company and was a true family man. He appreciated his Sunday nights with his family, loved train rides, God and his churches, Former St. Thomas UCC on 11th and Windsor in Reading and Bern Reformed United Church of Christ in Leesport. Charles is survived by his children Scott J. husband of Katie, Charlene L. Jones wife of Brook, Shelley L. Esterline, Christine A. Griesemer, wife of James, and his 5 grandchildren Kelly, Nikki, Ayden, Danielle and Hannah. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Monday, November 27, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in the Bern Reformed United Church of Christ 3196 Bernville Rd., Rte. 183, Leesport, PA 19533. Interment will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Park Exeter Township. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. Mount Penn in charge of arrangements.
