George Hunt Jr

George Hunt Jr., aged 77, from Exeter Township, PA, peacefully passed away on August 17, 2024, at Berks Heim. He was the beloved husband of Donna M. (Doddato) Hunt, his partner for 58 years. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Francis G. Hunt Sr. and Josephine (Dempsey) Hunt. George completed his education at Swissvale High School and later proudly served in The United States Army. Following his military service, he dedicated many years of his life to working at Lucent Technology until his retirement. George was an active member of both IBEW and St. Catharine of Siena R.C.C.

George's greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially cheering on his grandchildren at their various sporting events. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and could always be found passionately supporting them during the football season.

Survived by his wife, George leaves behind his loving children: David Hunt (married to Tracy), Erin Bollinger (married to Brian), and Christopher Hunt (married to Jodi). He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Abby, Brooke, Zackary, Isabella, Waverly, Owen, Miles, Tyler, and Jillian.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm with services beginning at 5:00 pm at Lutz Funeral Home Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606.
