Charles E. Fairchild

Charles E. Fairchild, 66, of Reading, passed away Thursday, March 6th, 2014 in St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the husband of Karen A. (Sadorf) Fairchild. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Bessie (Williams) Issel and Charles Fairchild. Charles was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church-Stony Creek, F&AM Lodge– Joseph H. Brown Lodge #751 in Philadelphia, PA. He was also the past president of the Torresdale Lions Club, loved his trains and especially his dog Toby. Charles was the owner/operator of Fairchild Services, Inc. Prior; Charles was the Facilities Manager for the Reading School District and a Vice President at Amco/ Pittsburgh Forging in Philadelphia, PA. In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by: two Daughters: Erin J. wife of Marc Sedlak of Denver, PA and K. Rebecca wife of Edward Fisher of East Norriton, PA; God-daughter: Nereida Ceballos of Flying Hills; Five Grandchildren: Michael, Maria, Eddie, Hannah and Emily; Godson: Francis X. Clark of Philadelphia. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church 1375 Friedensburg Road Reading, PA 19606. Interment private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church at the above stated address. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc.
