Dr. Doreen M Fisher-Bammer

Dr. Doreen M. Fisher-Bammer, 50, of Hamburg, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, in her home. She was the wife of Thomas H. Bammer III. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert W. Fisher and Janet (Schiffner) Faust, Muhlenberg. Doreen graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1989, and she got two Bachelor's and her Masters Degree from Kutztown University and she received her Doctorate in Education from Widener University. Doreen was a member of Bethany Lutheran - Stony Creek, and loved antiques, hiking, biking, and being outdoors. She was an Associate Provost in Virtual Learning at Harrisburg Area Community College.

In addition to her husband, Doreen is survived by her fur babies; Sonny, and Amanda Louise, her brother, Michael Fisher, husband of Laura, of Collegeville, her sister-in-law's, Karen Fogle, Samantha Hodge, wife of Tom, and mother-in-law, Martha Bammer, of Whitehall. She is also survived by her nieces and nephew; Kyra VanEffen, of Florida, Gabby, Christina, Felicia, Madyson, and Joshua Fisher.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with services beginning at 4:00 pm in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Mt. Penn, PA 19606. Interment will be private at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road Birdsboro, PA 19508, or Bethany Lutheran Church, 1375 Friedensburg Rd, Reading PA 19606.
