June L. Fisher (Leininger)

June L. Fisher, 90, formerly of Mt. Penn, passed away November 2nd, 2013 in Reading Hospital & Medical Center. She was the widow of Robert A. Fisher who passed away April 14, 1988. Born in West Lawn she was a daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Grimes) Leininger. June was a graduate of Wilson High School and Bryland Beauty School. She and her husband were longtime members of the Blue Mt. Eagle Climbing Club, where she held every elected position within the club and organized many trips within and outside the U.S. June was also active in environmental causes with the preservation of the Appalachian Trail and other venues. She loved the arts and the Reading Symphony Orchestra. June was a Beautician in her residence for 43 years, retiring in 1988. Services and Interment Private. Lutz Funeral Home, Inc.
