LeRoy D. "Skip" Folk, 90, of Lower Alsace, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023, in his home. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Bowman) Folk. LeRoy graduated with honors from Reading High School, class of 1951 and proudly served his country in The United States Army during the Korean Conflict. LeRoy's career began at Hintzes/Moyer's selling office furniture and continued until retiring at Office Service at the age of 83.
He was very proud of his children and grandchildren, always eager to share stories of their lives. Fondly known by them as "Pop Pop", Skip discovered pure joy and fulfillment in his role as a grandfather and great-grandfather. He created memories with them that will forever be treasured.
Sports held a special place in Skip's heart, whether cheering for professional teams, grandchildren's sporting events or his deep involvement in the lower Alsace Football League. As we bid farewell to Skip, may his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.
LeRoy is survived by his children, Terry S. Folk, of Blandon, Kristin (Folk) Lam, of San Diego, California and Todd M. Folk, of Lower Alsace. Also survived by grandchildren Jenna Folk, Benjamin Folk, Kyle Knickerbocker and Kolby Knickerbocker, great grandchildren Ronin Knickerbocker, Emika Knickerbocker, Kensington Knickerbocker and Kalan Knickerbocker and sister Evelyn Genova. He is predeceased by brother William Folk Jr. and sister Myrtle Phleger.
